Smile…Love is in the Air!

February is the month of love!

A few photographers weigh in on why they love engagement sessions and how important they are to set the tone of the whole wedding experience. Here’s a little eye candy from these fabulous photographers of our sweet couples!

Stephanie Pulliam with Indigo Photography captured the adorable Elise & Jeremy.

She had this to say;

“Engagement sessions give me a chance to really get to know my couple & allows them to get used to being photographed by me…which helps them be more relaxed & confident on their wedding day! These sessions are a way to have more fun, casual photos that are a true representation of them as a couple during one of the most exciting times in their lives!”

We love the love captured between these two, Katie & Seth, by the lovely Tara Mauldin Photography.

“The beauty of the engagement session is two fold for me. First of all I get to spend two hours of quality time getting to know my brides & grooms before the day of their wedding. This is crucial to me, as this is the time when we can really get to know each other: personalities, likes and dislikes, and mannerisms. Just a time to hang together and become friends, so on the day of their wedding, we are like old friends. Secondly, it gives us the opportunity to see what works well in front of the camera, and what doesn’t work so well. During the day of the wedding, time is precious. I don’t want to waste their time on setups that just don’t work for them. The engagement session let’s us figure all of that out together while creating fun, beautiful, and emotion-filled imagery.”

And Kristin Vining Photography truly captured the beauty and personality of Nicole & Robert.

Kristin said:

“An engagement session is the perfect way to jump start forever! Creating photographs that are true and reflective of who you are in a controlled environment (unlike wedding day) AND getting to know your photographer is so very important.  Not only is it a great deal of fun getting dolled up and loving on each other, but to have it frozen in time to look back on for years to come is priceless!”
