Their story:
Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.  That was Anne Pearson (29 and an interior designer) before she met Joel Hammett (29 and an account manager) while in her friend's wedding.  Anne thought she'd know everyone at the event in her hometown of Charlotte, but she didn't know Joel.  They spent the reception getting to know each other and agreed to keep in touch.  After a month, they met up again and decided to give a long-distance relationship a shot.  They eventually both moved to Charlotte.  Four years to the day after they met, the couple was relaxing at Anne's home.  While she was upstairs, Joel set up the dining room with candles and champagne.  When she came downstairs, he proposed.  Just eight months later, they got married.
