Farewell for the Summer

In a few short days I will be making the drive back to UNC Chapel Hill. While I am thrilled to start my sophomore year at UNC, I will most definitely miss this rewarding summer internship. This internship has been by far the most unique. Unique in the way that when I go to work I don’t drag my feet and dread it, but I am genuinely excited! I love being able to learn about stationery, personal i.....

This Summer Mitzvah was a Slam Dunk!

After navigating my way from the parking garage to the Levine Center on the Queens University Campus I found Dina, Kristen, and our new team member, Danielle. Danielle recently moved to Charlotte after her college graduation and has been a wonderful addition to DBB Events. In preparation for our basketball themed Bar Mitzvah we began the evening by arranging furniture, laying linens, and opening .....

“Ty”ing the Knot

This is the first time I have had contact with the bride before her wedding. In the past, I would be working bride’s weddings the day of and learn about them throughout the night. With this wedding, I was able to meet the bride about a month prior to her wedding day, attend her bridal portrait, as well as her rehearsal. I was thrilled to form a relationship with Meg, the blushing bride, and Pe.....

What is event planning?

Event planning takes a lot of work. On average, DBB Events devotes about 150 hours to each wedding we plan and execute. We attend meetings for photography, florals, tastings, venues and vendors. Event planning is scheduling your day around when you can meet with your clients. It’s driving out of your way to acquire that one small element to complete the big day. It takes long.....

I have been working with DBB Events since my sophomore year in high school. I was able to gain this opportunity through introducing myself to Dina, her husband, and her employee Heather at an open house for my father’s company, Heritage Printing and Graphics. I was t.....

One Year! – Laura & Mitchell

Happy Anniversary to this special duo. We loved spending the week at their beloved DeBordieu!                                                                                                                                                                                                            .....

Weisenberger Wedding 7.8.06

I actually helped Craig plan their engagement in 2005.  A private dinner in the former In Bloom location on Central Avenue.  Fast forward to July 2006 and Jay and I were on our way to Asheville for their wedding. So classic and timeless, love every bit of reliving these weddings. Reconnecting with these amazing familes!     Thanks In Bloom !           St.....

Happy First – Genny & Matt

Sure they are enjoying the top tier of this beauty today! For Goodness Cakes. We love creating personal amenity pretties for out of town guests. Genny drew the Genny and Matt logo that we used on many of her printed items.                   The entrance at Myers Park Country Club was just breathtaking. Vendor partners Party Tables, Wink Lighting and In.....

Carolina Blue

There is no question, this family loves The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Upon arrival to their hotels, guests were given a sweet treat with a few favorites of both the bride and groom! Trace loves Natural Brew Root Beer, so naturally it had to be included. When Izzy was in boarding school, her family frequented Richardson’s Candy Kitchen, so 2 chocolate truffles from Richards.....
