“Ty”ing the Knot
This is the first time I have had contact with the bride before her wedding. In the past, I would be working bride’s weddings the day of and learn about them throughout the night. With this wedding, I was able to meet the bride about a month prior to her wedding day, attend her bridal portrait, as well as her rehearsal. I was thrilled to form a relationship with Meg, the blushing bride, and Peg, her mother. These lovely ladies were so wonderful to work with. Not only were they charming, they also wanted to help in any way possible, to be fully emerged in the planning of Meg’s upcoming wedding!
When we went to assemble the amenity boxes, Meg and Peg met us at the Hampton Inn and expedited the assembly process by an enormous amount of time! What would usually have taken us about eight hours took only three with their can-do attitude and hard work. The amenity box consisted of: Blood Orange Pellegrino, Skinny Pop, and Bird and Bear Cookies – a warm welcome for Meg and Ty’s out of town guests.
When the wedding day came I was so excited to see all the hard work unfold into an unforgettable night. The night before I had prepped our timing cards and was looking forward to the first dance, passing out glow sticks, and for the arrival for the Carolina Panthers’ Sir Purr!
The ceremony was absolutely stunning. With deep consideration of the potential heat, the ceremony took place just past the breeze-way, which allowed for plenty of shade and a long walk way to display Meg’s gorgeous dress. Everyone was in awe as they exclaimed their vows and were overjoyed when the lovely couple said “I do.”
After the ceremony, the guests flooded into the club for refreshments. They were greeted with an array of options for food, a large dance floor, and many smiling faces. Once the dancing began we handed out glow sticks! We had glow stick glasses, necklaces, and bracelets. Some people got really creative and made a jump rope out of the various different colors! In between the dancing and the farewell we had friendly feline show up in a decked out golf cart. It was Sir Purr! We were all so giddy to meet him. It made our night to hang out with him until his debuting song, “All I Do Is Win,” came on.
With so many exciting elements, before we knew it the night was over: we were already passing out LED lit balloons, and Meg and Ty departed happily married, from their cheerful guests!
